Dr. Douglas Wright is a board certified orthodontist and has a Bachelor of Science from Syracuse University, his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Case Western Reserve University, his Master of Science in Oral Biology and his certificate in Orthodontics also from Case Western Reserve. He has been associated with the practice since 1983. You will meet Dr. Doug at the consultation appointment.
Dr. Doug is a certified provider for Invisalign and a member of the Upstate New York Damon Orthodontic Study Club. He has been inducted as a Fellow in the International College of Dentists, an honorary organization for recognition of service to the profession. He is the past Supreme Grand Master of the Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity, an international fraternity. Also, Dr. Doug is past President of the Erie County Dental Society, Dr. Doug is also a Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary Club International. Dr. Doug and his wife, Laurie, have three children.
Dr. Matthew Walla joined our practice in August 2010. He is originally from Indiana and grew up in a small town near Chicago. Dr. Walla received his Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University in Biology. Later, he earned his dental degree from the New York University where he graduated as valedictorian of his class. Dr. Walla continued at NYU to complete a two year post-graduate program in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists and Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honors Society.
Dr. Walla is married – he and his wife Liz have one son, Ethan. When he is away from orthodontics he enjoys music, reading, snowboarding and spending time with his family
